New Microsoft Browser Raises Google's Hackles (NY Times)
"The new browser includes a search box in the upper-right corner that is typically set up to send users to Microsoft's MSN search service. Google contends that this puts Microsoft in a position to unfairly grab Web traffic and advertising dollars from its competitors."
So Google does the exact same thing in with Firefox and Safari, and it's ok then? What hypocrisy. MSN is fighting an uphill battle to overcome Google's massive headstart in branding and search development and Google chooses to respond's with preemptive lobbying. Where is the user in this debate? Where is the commitment to fair competition and pushing the limits of technology? The truth is that Google would just as soon not have millions of people realize that other search engines besides itself exist.

One of my all-time favorite books made it to the front page of Wikipedia today. Hopefully, this article won't degrade over time.
You can read that article: here
You can read the article on Starcraft: here
To my surprise both are feature articles. Wikipedia's tagline could read "all you ever needed to know about science-fiction."
Once you are well informed, try testing your knowledge: here

| You probably didn't pay enough attention to the book. That's ok. You were reading for entertainment and thought the book was pretty cool. You just didn't really bother to learn all the tiny details. Or it's been a long time since you've read it. |
